Robert Doyle is the Chief Privacy Officer/IT Compliance Officer and interim Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at New Mexico State University and College Assistant Professor in the Advanced Technology Division. Robert has also been an interim Chief Information Officer (CIO) and a System IT Auditor. Robert has received his Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology (BICT) from the Engineering College at NMSU in 2012, he is a Distinguished Alumni for NMSU-Doña Ana, Business & Information Systems Division and recently the Faculty Rising Star Award in 2018.
Along with his degrees, Robert has numerous industry certifications/training's from CompTia, TestOut, EC-Council, Microsoft, Oracle, NSA, ACM, ACUA, ISACA, Palo Alto Cybersecurity Academy and Cisco Systems.
Some of his major accomplishments include being awarded the Cisco Instructor CCNA Curriculum Specialist Global Award for all of North America/Canada in 2015 and being selected by Cisco as a Cisco Networking Academy Expert Level Instructor for 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017. This award represents the top 10% of instructors globally. Robert was also selected to serve on the National CyberWatch Curriculum Standards Panel (CSP) in 2016 to present.
Some of his other accomplishments include being a technical editor for McGraw Hill Higher Education publications and was a webpage developer for New Mexico High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (NMHIDTA), and for La Casa Inc. Robert has also worked as a technology columnist for local newspapers and project coordinator/grant writer. Robert donates his time to local nonprofit organizations including his past position as two-time President for La Casa, Inc. Domestic Violence Shelter. Over the past 14 years, Robert has taught 42 different courses at NMSU- Doña Ana including networking, security, forensics, PC maintenance, and systems analysis. Robert is also a Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Scholarship Advisor for NMSU- Doña Ana and an advisor for ACM Southern New Mexico Student/Professional Chapters. Robert was also a personal technology consultant for retired astronaut Frank Borman!
